Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return.
Ash Wednesday begins these great fourty days in the season of Lent. Today, on Ash Wednesday, we have the opportunity to consider how our journey will go, keeping in mind that our readings from Joel and Matthew remind us that motives matter. Our readings also remind us of the importance of how we make the journey: we do it together trusting that God will be with us throughout and that on the other side of Lent we will rejoice to find ourselves God's new creation.
