The Parish of the Valley is committed to serving our wider community, both locally and globally. Locally, we support a number of initiatives, including all of our community food banks, The Grind community centre in Pembroke, and the Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network. We also offer our support to the Community Ministries of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa. Nationally and internationally, we actively support the ministries of the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, or PWRDF, the Anglican Church of Canada's relief and development agency.

Many of our churches collect food for our local food banks on a weekly or monthly basis. Those Sundays will be advertized in church in advance and you can find out more about our local food banks by clicking "Food Security in the Valley" to the left. We have a particular drive for the food banks in Advent, when we also collect small gifts to distribute in local nursing and retirement homes.

Some of our churches also have particular projects within their local communities, you can learn more about those by clicking on some of the other links on the left hand side of the page.
