Lily and Thomas Hoyer Brown would like to extend a special invitation to children and families from across our Parish of the Valley to attend our parish's kid-friendly Christmas Eve service at All Saints Petawawa (1173 Victoria Street). We are holding it at the kid-friendly time of 4pm!
It will be a traditional candlelight Christmas Eve service. We are delighted that Maggie Jacques from Holy Trinity Pembroke has agreed to lead Christmas crafts and activities in the church hall for all the little ones. Rev. Matthew and Rev. Gillian will share in presiding and preaching.
It will be in the format of our typical Sunday worship. We will open with the gathering of the community and the lighting of the Christ candle in the Advent wreath. We will read a children’s Christmas storybook together, and then any children or young people who would like to join in are welcome to move to the church hall for more stories, crafts, and intentional activities for little ones. As with our Sunday School programs, we ask that some parents or grandparents be prepared to assist children with the crafts and activities in the hall.
Kids will then join back together with all the grown-ups in the sanctuary for Christmas communion and a candlelight singing of Silent Night (battery powered candles available!) If you think you might be coming, please feel free to email
Rev. Gillian to help us with our planning, but no RSVP is required. Please join in and come as you are!
