The ministry of stewardship is a journey in faithfulness. In good times and in hard times, God asks us to freely and cheerfully give of our time, talents and treasurers as we faithfully join with God to bring healing, justice and mercy to our world. Digging Deep, Reaching High, our annual spring stewardship program, helps to give focus to this journey. As has become our custom, in the time surrounding Pentecost we dedicate five weeks at Holy Trinity to intentionally thinking and praying as a congregation about the ministry of stewardship. We share stories, hopes, reflections, challenges, and questions, and we listen for how God is calling all of us to participate in God’s mission in the year that lies ahead.
We are also all invited, as each of us is able, to contribute to Holy Trinity’s Pentecost Appeal. You can use the special offering envelope that you will have received in the mail with your Revelations parish newspaper, or you can give online at the green button here, and at the dropdown menu select "The Pentecost Appeal."
“Digging Deep, Reaching High” is now in its fifth year, and thanks to your generous gifts of time, talents and sacrificial donations we have accomplished so much together as a congregation during this relatively short time. Thanks to gracious legacy gifts and generous estate planning, new steps have been installed at the church’s main entrance and a new stove installed in our church’s kitchen. Thanks to significant gifts of time and talent on the part of our grant writers and steady project management by our Property Committee and Cemetery Board, a new accessibility ramp has been installed leading to our elevator, a new columbarium installed in our cemetery, new tables and chairs purchased for our church hall, and new fridges and freezers purchased to support our many ministries of hospitality. Thanks to continual gifts of love and service by our ACW and so many other volunteers, we have succeeded in regularly opening our doors to the wider community, welcoming our neighbours for bazaars, rummage sales, teas, art and quilt shows and so many delicious luncheons. And, thanks to your steadfast financial support, God has helped us accomplish all of this while consistently meeting our annual operating budget. We have so much for which to be grateful!
