“I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. For as in one body we have many members….so we, who are many, are one body in Christ.”  Romans 12: 1, 4-5

This Advent we invite you to "Say Yes" and support the Parish of the Valley's first annual Advent Appeal. A copy of an Advent Appeal letter from our clergy team, together with a reply form, is available for download below. Paper copies of this letter are also being delivered to all households across our parish.

We know that some of you are experiencing extraordinary challenges and financial difficulties brought on by the pandemic, and that an additional donation to your church may not be possible at this time. If you are able, however, to offer added financial support to your local congregation as we all cope with decreases in church attendance, reduced Sunday collections and lower fundraising revenues, then we would be exceedingly grateful to receive your contribution to our Valley Advent Appeal.

You can support the Advent Appeal in a number of ways:

  1. Donations can be mailed directly to your congregation using the postal addresses provided in our offerings mailing directory, available for download below.  Please make your donation payable to your local Parish of the Valley congregation (i.e. please write your cheque to “Holy Trinity Pembroke,” “St. John’s Eganville,” “All Saints Petawawa,” “St. Paul’s Cobden,” "Epiphany Barry's Bay," etc...)
  2. Some of our congregations offer the possibility of giving through Pre-Authorized Remittances from your bank account (PAR). To sign-up for PAR, or to increase your monthly PAR contribution in response to the Advent Apeal, please download and print the forms available below and mail them to your home church using the addresses provided in the mailing directory.
  3. Members of Holy Trinity PembrokeSt. John's Eganville and Ascension Killaloe/St. John's Tramore can also give directly to their churches online using credit card or PayPal through the website Canada Helps. Click on the church names in this paragraph to learn more.

Dear friends, Jesus teaches us that two commandments are above all others: love of God and love of neighbour. Thank you for the innumerable ways that each of you continues to offer your love and support towards the ministries of our Parish of the Valley. We are grateful to you all for your gifts of time, talent, and for your faithful financial support.
