At the Easter Vigil we begin outside to kindle the new Easter fire. Processing into the darkened church, we light candles and hear the story of our faith chanted and then read aloud from Holy Scriptures. Then the lights return, we proclaim He is Risen, and renew our baptismal promises before sharing in Holy Communion.
