St John the Evangelist in Eganville is once again hosting their annual "Celebration of Light" Advent Evensong fundraiser on Sunday December 5 at 4pm.
Everyone is welcome to join us for this traditional sung Evening Prayer service from the Book of Common Prayer. We are delighted that Bishop Michael Bird will be the preacher.
During the prayers we also remember friends who have died or whom we wish to honour, who have been as a "light" to our lives. Contact Joan Boldt (joan.boldt@live.com) by this Sunday November 28 if you would like us to include anyone in our prayers.
The service will be followed by a time of fellowship and light refreshments downstairs in St Mark's Hall.
All funds raised at this service go towards supporting a family in Ghana and towards supporting 20 students in Uganda, enabling them to attend school for another year. COVID Protocols: Masks are required and we continue to practice social distancing. Proof of vaccination is not required.
