Please join us for the annual Advent Celebration of Light at St John the Evangelist, Eganville - a traditional choral evensong with prayers of remembrance.
December 4th at 3pm, reception to follow in the church hall.
All proceeds will support the sponsorship of students through St John's longstanding partners in Uganda, Wide Smiles For All Through Education, led by Rev. Kenneth Kasule.
This event is part of our Valley Sings series.
The Celebration of Light is also how St. John’s is participating in this year’s third annual Parish of the Valley Advent Appeal. This annual fundraising appeal supports ministries across our area parish, and once again this year 100% of Valley Advent Appeal donations made to St. John’s Eganville will support the sponsorship of students in Uganda, through “Wide Smiles For All Through Education” led by Rev. Kenneth Kasule. Education is a key antidote to poverty, and your support will help children in Uganda becoming shining lights in their communities and nation. If you would like to donate, cheques payable to St. John’s Anglican Church (please note “Celebration of Light / Advent Appeal” on the memo line) may be placed on the collection plate at the church, or sent to us by mail at the address listed below.
We also invite you to share those whom you wish to be remembered in prayer during the service, and their names will be entered into the Memorial Book.
