Stafford Service to be held at St. Patrick's

Due to an unforseen building issue at St. Thomas Rankin, this Sunday's 9am service for the congregations of St. Thomas Rankin, St. Stephen's Micksburg and St. Patrick's Lower Stafford will now be held at St. Patrick's.  Thank you for helping to spread the word about this change to all members of the congregations.

St. John's Eganville Celebration of Light

St. John's Eganville Celebration of Light

A Traditional Choral Evensong - Sunday, December 3rd at 4pm

Please join us for the annual Advent Celebration of Light at St John the Evangelist, Eganville -- a traditional service of choral evensong with prayers of remembrance on Sunday, December 3rd at 4pm. A reception will follow in the church hall.

All proceeds from the offering will support the sponsorship of students through St John's longstanding partners in Uganda, Wide Smiles For All Through Education, led by Kenneth Kasule.

We also invite you to share the names of those whom you wish to be remembered in prayer during the liturgy -- both names of the departed and names of the living who help to share God's light in our world. Please submit names before Sunday November 26th by contacting Joan Boldt at 613-628-6503, or joan.boldt@live.com.

Valley Advent Study on Zoom

Valley Advent Study on Zoom

Wednesdays Dec 6th, 13th, & 20th at 7pm

All are welcome to join in our Parish of the Valley Advent Study as this year we delve into some of our favourite and most beloved hymns of the Advent and Christmas seasons. We’ll be looking at a selection of hymns, picked by you and your clergy team, through the lens of “Listen, Ponder, and Pray.”

Please send in your top five (5) favourite Advent or Christmas hymns, ideally from our Common Praise hymn book, to Rev. Nick, nickforte@valleyanglicans.ca or to any members of the clergy team throughout Advent, and we’ll try to pick the ones that the most people have in common.

We’ll gather December 6th, 13th, and 20th on Zoom at 7pm, where we’ll get to listen to, discuss, and better understand the hymns we know so well. For the Zoom link or telephone call-in details, please click below.

Prayerfully Walking

Prayerfully Walking

Beginning Wednesday, December 6th at 9am

Walking outside is cold and the footing is uncertain. Prayer is something that can be done in many ways. How can we put these two things together? Prayerfully Walking!

We invite you to join this weekly active prayer and learning group meeting at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall in Pembroke from 9:00 to 9:45 on Wednesday mornings. Under the guidance of Licensed Lay Readers Lorna Sibley and Jen Cross the group will start each Wednesday morning at 9am with a few minutes of silent walking followed by a 10 minute devotional (while still walking!) There will be time to share prayer concerns, if anyone would like to share, and we'll spend some time just walking and being together.

If you feel inclined, all are invited to stay for Holy Trinity's midweek Eucharist service at 10:00 upstairs, but if you'd rather not, that is entirely ok too. All are welcome!
