Messy Church

Messy Church

This afternoon at Holy Trinity Pembroke from 4:30pm onwards is our next Messy Church gathering!

We will begin downstairs in the Church Hall with an opening story, activities, games and crafts, a time of celebration (songs and prayer), and finish with sharing a meal (one that is completely prepared for you!).

Families of all shapes, sizes and ages are welcome! There are activities for all ages and stages: come be fed and nourished physically and spiritually.

National Indigenous Peoples Day Prayer Service

National Indigenous Peoples Day Prayer Service

Saturday, June 21 at 3pm

Everyone is invited to join in an Ecumenical Prayer Service in Eganville on National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Saturday, June 21st at 3pm at the Gerald Tracey Park Bandshell (Formerly Centennial Park, entrance at 50 Bonnechere St. W).  Please bring a lawnchair and consider wearing orange.

Leadership is by members of the Eganville Ministerial Association and Indigenous representatives, with participation from the Parish of the Valley Clergy Team. We are anticipating that a number of regional civic leaders will be present. This is a time for us to come together ecumenically, to sing and to pray; it is an opportunity to participate in reconciliation.

All are welcome: Bring your heart and your voice!

The Parish of the Valley is pleased to be hosting a training day for Licensed Lay Readers in the Diocese of Ottawa. It will be held tomorrow, Saturday, June 21st, at St. Paul's Cobden and we are grateful for the team from St. Paul's who have been working with the Diocesan Warden of Lay Readers, the Rev. Bob Albert, to provide hospitality for Lay Readers from across our diocese.

Lay Readers offer important ministry both in the life of our Parish of the Valley and in parishes across the Diocese of Ottawa through the leading of Morning Prayer and offering pastoral care. We give thanks for the ministry of Lay Readers and are pleased to be able to support them in this gathering!
