St. Patrick's Lower Stafford Building RestorationSpecial Appeal We are pleased to share that the first stage of repairs to the belfry of St. Patrick's Lower Stafford is now complete! As was discussed at the St. Patrick's annual Vestry meeting in March, over the winter months the members of the Church Corporation worked diligently to obtain several estimates in preparation for making repairs to the bell tower. It is the intention that subsequent work to further restore the belfry will be completed in stages. This year, repairs were completed on the exterior of the belfry. In the coming years we plan to continue working to re-point the inside of the tower, as well as other parts of the church, as funds permit and circumstances warrant. We are grateful for funds that have already been given to the St. Patrick's Building Restoration Fund, and to all who donated towards the project at the special Christ Church Cathedral Girls Choir Evensong Service earlier this year. Those funds have allowed the current work to proceed, however additional funds are needed to continue the work of restoring the church’s stonework. If you would like to make a donation towards the St. Patrick's Building Restoration Fund, cheques should be made payable to “St. Patrick’s Anglican Church” – please clearly mark “Building Restoration Fund” in the memo line. Cheques can be placed on the offering plate in any congregation of our Parish of the Valley – they will faithfully be forwarded to St. Patrick’s. Cheques can also be given to the Treasurer, Dianne Siebarth. You can also give online through Canada Helps by clicking on the following link. Please write “Building Restoration Fund” in the notes line: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/st-patricks-church-lower-stafford/. An update letter from the Incumbent and Churchwardens, with more information on the work completed as well as how to donate, is available at the button below. Hard copies of the letter will be available at the St. Patrick's Cemetery Service this Sunday, June 8th at 2pm. Please consider picking up a copy to give to a friend of St. Patrick's who may also be interested in supporting restoring the St. Patrick's Lower Stafford stonework.
