Workshop for Churchwardens & TreasurersTomorrow at Holy Trinity Pembroke Saturday, May 3rd with refreshments beginning at 9am in the church hall at Holy Trinity Pembroke (68 Renfrew Street). Churchwardens and Treasurers are invited to join in a workshop for parish leaders presented by our Anglican Diocese of Ottawa. The training session will be facilitated by the Venerable Linda Hill, Executive Archdeacon, together with members of our diocesan senior staff. Refreshments are kindly being provided by the Holy Trinity ACW. The meeting time will officially get underway at 9:30am and will wrap up by 12:30pm. Approximately 35 people have registered for the workshop. We look forward to welcoming you! |

Seeking OrganistFor St. Paul's Cobden St. Paul’s, Cobden is seeking a church organist beginning July 1, 2025. We are looking for an applicant who is working at, or approaching a Grade 10 piano competeny level. While expeirence in organ playing and liturgical worship are an asset, we are willing to work with the right candidate. The successful candidate will collaborate with our clergy team in providing leadership and accompaniment for congregational singing, including hymns and sung liturgy, as well as providing prelude and postlude music and other incidental music as/when needed. Regularly scheduled services at St. Paul's are Sundays at 11 am. If you know anyone who might be interested, please forward this information to them. Wide Smiles for All Through Education & Kenneth Kasule
We welcomed Kenneth Kasule, Director of Wide Smiles for All Through Education in Uganda to the Parish of the Valley last week, and his first Sunday with us he shared about his work after church at St. John's in Eganville. We hope that you will be able to join one of the other post-church gatherings across our parish and Deanery of the Northwest over the coming six weeks and take the opportunity to hear from Kenneth about the work of Wide Smiles and their plans for the future. This Sunday, May 4: Epiphany, Barry’s Bay We are also still in need of billets for Kenneth from May 27th to June 8th.
