Macaroni & Cheese Cook-off
Who will win this year's "Holy Macaroni Crown"? The Eganville Ministerial Group presents the Macaroni & Cheese Cook-off: Local cooks in competition for the best Mac & Cheese in the Valley! Tickets are nearly sold out, but we are pleased to announce this year's macaroni & cheese cooks: Mirielle Delorne will defend her crown against Janet Clark (Holy Trinity Pembroke), Bernard Raglin (St. George's South Alice), and Pastor Ralph Wiegold (Grace Lutheran, Eganville). Good luck to all of the cooks and happy eating to all of the lucky judges! All proceeds from this event will support the Eganville Rotary Club Charitable Fund for Mental Health and the Bonnechere Union Public Library Youth Program. Art in the PewsArt Show & Sale and High Tea - Saturday, May 4th Holy Trinity ACW is pleased to welcome you to "Art in the Pews" at Holy Trinity Pembroke on May 4th from 11am - 4pm. Come and view an astounding array of art by talented artists from across our parish and community! From drawing, to pottery, from woodworking, to quilting and fabric arts, and more - you won't be disappointed! Admission of $15 includes High Tea in the church hall. Special music is provided by Zephyr woodwind quartet. At the discretion of the artists, some art may be available for purchase. Impact ZambiaPresentations During Coffee Time As a parish we are proud to support both the Rev. Allan Studd and Wendy Wilker-Blakley and the work they are doing with Impact Zambia in the Itezhi-tezhi region of Southern Zambia. Rev. Allan and Wendy will be returning to Zambia this summer. In preparation for their time there, they will be travelling around the parish giving updates about the work of Impact Zambia during coffee hours and seeking our collective support. On Sunday, May 5th, they will be at All Saints Petawawa to share during coffee time. Stay tuned for dates and times in other parts of the parish in coming weeks. Trivia FundraiserFor St. Thomas Rankin - Saturday, May 25th St. Thomas Rankin is hosting a Trivia Fundraiser to support necessary repairs to the church building. It will be held on Saturday, May 25th at the Rankin Culture and Recreation Centre. Doors will open at 6pm with the game beginning at 7pm. Cost is $10 / person with tables of 6: gather some friends and reserve a table! There will be a cash bar provided by the Rankin Centre and snacks available for purchase provided by St. Thomas' parishioners. To register, please call Bonnie Dumouchel at 613-735-5529. Diocesan Learning CommonsChurchwardens & Treasurers Workshop The next learning opportunity for parish churchwardens and clergy will be held on Saturday May 4th or Saturday May 11th, from 9am-Noon. This half-day workshop is entitled "Governance, Safe Church & Employment Issues" and is being held at St. Aidan's Ottawa. To register to attend, please click here. Episcopal Visit to the Parish of the ValleySunday, June 23rd -- 10am in Eganville We are excited to share that Bishop Shane Parker will be making an Episcopal Visit to the Parish of the Valley on Sunday, June 23rd. A single parish wide service is planned for that day at 10am in St. John’s Eganville. This will also be Rev. Claire’s final Sunday in our parish. All other regular Sunday morning services across the parish on Sunday, June 23rd will not take place. Help is requested for preparing the luncheon (sandwiches, veggie trays, squares, etc). Online Worship in the Parish of the ValleyYouTube & YourTV In addition to worship in person, we are pleased as a parish to be continuing to offer worship online and via television. For online worship this week, you can watch the service that was filmed live at Holy Trinity Pembroke last Sunday. It will be available for watching anytime from midnight on Sunday onwards.
