Join us for Lenten Learning on ZoomSessions Begin Thursday, March 2nd at 7pm This year the Parish of the Valley clergy team will be leading a Lenten Learning series on Thursday evenings at 7pm on Zoom, from March 2nd to March 30th. Rather than studying a particular book or a portion of holy scripture, this year your clergy team has asked you, the members of the Parish of the Valley, to help us plan our parish's Lenten study together. Thank you for sending us your thought provoking questions and comments over the past few weeks. We have now grouped your questions into five overarching themes, one for each evening of the Lenten Study. Week 1: The Bible & Scriptural Authority (i.e. What is the Bible and how do we relate to it?) Week 2: Anglican History & Identity (i.e. Who are we as Anglicans and what defines us as a tradition?) Week 3: Anglican Theology (i.e. What do we believe as Anglicans: about God, about Jesus, about heaven, etc.) Week 4: Prayer (i.e. What is it, and what is our relationship to it?) Week 5: Christianity & The World Today (i.e. Where are we now as the Church, and where are we going?) We hope you will join us for these interactive 90 minute sessions. Each session will begin with a brief presentation, followed by questions and discussion moderated by members of our clergy team. We likely won't be able to offer answers to all of your questions, but we trust that the Holy Spirit will be working in us as we listen to each other, and search for answers together. Please use the following Zoom link to log-in every week. You can also press the blue "Click to Join the Lenten Study" button below to join the Zooms on Thursday nights at 7pm.
