Parish Leaders' DayTomorrow: November 15th in Pembroke We are looking forward to gathering tomorrow, Saturday, November 15th, with all Churchwardens, Deputy Wardens, Treasurers, Central Treasurers, and Lay Members of Synod for our annual Parish of the Valley Leaders' Day. The meeting will be held in the church hall of Holy Trinity Pembroke (68 Renfrew Street) beginning with refreshments at 9:30am with the meeting then commencing at 10am. Those who are unable to attend are kindly asked to email regrets to Rev. Matthew if you have not already done so. Coffee, tea and morning snacks, together with a soup and sandwich luncheon, will be catered by Chef Bernie and the team from St. George's South Alice. The meeting will wrap up by approximately 2:30pm. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow! |

Messy ChurchFriday, December 5th at St. George's South Alice Save the date for our next Messy Church! Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to join in after school on Friday, December 5th at St. George's South Alice (2968 Doran Road). Families are welcome to arrive anytime after 4pm, for a 4:30pm start. We will have music, Advent activities, crafts, and end with a delicious meal. Bring your curiosity and wiggles, and join in the fun as we gather together as families of all shapes, sizes and ages from across the Parish of the Valley |

Revelations Submission DeadlineFriday, December 5th The Advent & Christmas issue of our parish newspaper, Revelations, will be published in mid December. This will be our last issue of Revelations for 2025! We would love to share stories from across our parish. If you have a story idea, would like to share about things that took place through the fall or stories of life in our many congregations - we would love to hear from you! Please send submissions to revelations@valleyanglicans.ca or feel free to reach out to Rev. Gillian if you have a story idea but want to work with someone else to write it - we're pleased to assist in sharing the good news of what the churches and groups of our Parish of the Valley are up to! Canadian Council of ChurchesRev. Nick to Join Governing Board We are really pleased to share that Rev. Nicholas Forte has been invited to serve as a member of the Governing Board of the Canadian Council of Churches, on behalf of the General Synod of our Anglican Church of Canada. Rev. Nick will be away from the parish next week, November 18th through 21st, attending the CCoC's semiannual meeting in Toronto. In case of pastoral emergency during this time, please contact another member of the clergy team. The Canadian Council of Churches is, "A broad and inclusive ecumenical body, now representing 26-member churches including Anglican; Eastern and Roman Catholic; Evangelical; Free Church; Eastern and Oriental Orthodox; and Historic Protestant traditions. Together these member churches comprise 85% of the Christians in Canada (drawn from data provided by the Statistics Canada 2021 Survey). The Canadian Council of Churches was founded in 1944." A Joyous Prelude to ChristmasSunday, December 7th at 3pm Holy Trinity Pembroke is pleased to once again present A Joyous Prelude to Christmas, our annual Christmas concert featuring The Intermittents, the Holy Trinity Pembroke Choir, and many other musical guests. This year's Joyous Prelude will be held at Holy Trinity on Sunday, December 7th at 3pm. Admission is by free-will donation at the door with all proceeds benefitting the ministries of Holy Trinity. YoYo Mamas Christmas ConcertWednesday, December 17th at 3pm and 7pm The YoYo Mamas are back with their annual Christmas Concert featuring toe-tapping seasonal fiddle music! Due to overwhelming response in previous years, this year, there are two performances, both held at the Church of the Epiphany Barry's Bay: Matinee: Wednesday, December 17th at 3pm Join in for seasonal favourites and some opportunities to sing-along!
