Change of Leadership at Pembroke Kiwanis Club

There's an old saying: "clergy never really retire!" Well, the retired clergy of the Parish of the Valley are certainly staying active in service to our community. After two years of distinguished service as club president the Reverend Canon Roger Steinke recently handed over the reins of the Pembroke Kiwanis Club to Captain (Retired) the Reverend Robert Lauder. We congratulate them both for a good ending and a new beginning, and continue to give thanks for the ministries of all of the retired clergy who serve in our parish. Come to Bible Study
For Youth Ages 11 to 17

For Youth Ages 11 to 17

An Initiative of St. Barnabas Deep River

Our friends and neighbours in the Parish of St. Barnabas Deep River are hoping to launch a "Virtual Church School" for young people in our churches, and they have invited members of the Parish of the Valley to join the fun! The hope is to offer a regular Zoom gathering time for students between grades 6 and 12 (ages 11 to 17). While these gatherings would not necessarily be too structured, the hope is to spend some time exploring our weekly Sunday Bible readings as students and teachers, while also leaving time for fellowship and fun!

Rev. Patrick Stephens from St. Barnabas will be hosting a planning meting via Zoom for young people, their parents, and prospective teachers on Sunday October 18th at 2:00 PM. The goal for the meeting is to talk about details like a regular meeting time (probably not on Sundays) and meeting frequency. If you or your child is interested in attending please RSVP to Rev. Matthew who will be helping on behalf of our parish: revmatthewbrown@gmail.com.
