CovidHang in there! This wretched pandemic continues to drag on. Thankfully the vaccines are becoming more available to many. Our province in is "lockdown" and the "emergency brake" has been applied for the month of April. So we continue to proceed with caution and to wait with patience for the day when we can once again worship in our buildings. Know that you are loved and that God's love never fails us. Call on our Risen Lord, and on your church family, if you have any needs. And if you are able, do join us for Sunday worship online or on the cable channel YourTVOttawaValley. |

Hymn Writing CompetitionEntry from Louise Doran, All Saints, Petawawa We've had a change of plans. Originally our Parish of the Valley intended to hold a hymn writing "competition". The subject and theme of the lyrics is "God in the Valley". Judges were to be appointed and winners selected. However, we have received 5 entries that are all so excellent that we announce, here and now, that they are ALL winners!! Participants include Louise Doran, Yvonne Twa, Canon Roger Steinke, and The Rev. Matthew Brown. In this next series of newsletters we will feature one of the hymns. This week's entry is from Louise Doran, entitled "God in the Valley", and it's sung to the tune of "Praise the One Who Breaks the Darkness". Click on the link below and it will take you to the website where you will find a copy of Louise's hymn "God in the Valley". And many thanks to Marie Zettler for arranging the entries.
