As part of our journey of Truth and Reconciliation, the Parish of the Valley will be hosting the Mapping the Ground We Stand On workshop on Saturday, November 26th, from 1-4pm at the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Eganville. The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) has developed this interactive educational experience which explores:

--Indigenous presence on the map of Turtle Island/Canada;

--The history of Settler arrival, and their relationship to one another; and

--The concepts of Terra Nullius (empty land) and the Doctrine of Discovery

This is a wonderful opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in both the personal and collective journey toward a just, respectful and healing relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Settlers. All members of the Parish of the Valley are welcome to attend this workshop. RSVP in advance is encouraged. Please contact Rev. Claire at clairebramma@valleyanglicans.ca, 613-628-2029.
