In MemoriamTwo Upcoming Funerals in our Parish Community We have been saddened with a number of losses from amongst our parish community over the last few weeks. With summer schedules, we know that not everyone will have had the opportunity to hear about upcoming funerals and memorials within our parish. There will be a funeral for Dawn Price-Rakai today, Friday, July 3rd, at 12pm at Holy Trinity Pembroke led by Rev. Matthew, Rev. Gillian and Rev. Nick. It will be preceded by a visitation at Holy Trinity from 10-11:30am. Following the service, there will be a reception in the church hall hosted by the ACW. A private burial for Dawn will be led by Rev. Matthew at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Beachburg, on Saturday. You can find Dawn's obituary here. There will be a funeral for Margaret McMillan tomorrow, Saturday July 4th, at 11am at St. Patrick's Lower Stafford led by Rev. Nick and Rev. Gillian, and followed by burial at the Cobden Union Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception at the Cobden Legion. Visitation will be at Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home in Cobden on Friday afternoon from 2-4pm, Friday evening from 7-9pm, and Saturday morning from 9:30-10-15am. You can find Margaret's obituary here. Of your charity, please continue to keep all of Dawn and Margaret's families, loved ones and friends in your prayers in the coming days. May they rest in peace and rise with our Lord in glory. |

Parish of the Valley Cemetery ServicesSummer 2026 Each year, a number of our cemeteries hold Cemetery Services, where we gather to pray and give thanks for those who have gone before us, those we love and see no longer, and to tend the graves of those laid to rest in our cemeteries. Across the Parish of the Valley, we hold Cemetery Services throughout the summer.
