9th Sunday after PentecostSunday August 2, 2020 We invite you to join us once again for our Anglican online Service of Morning Prayer. You will find this week's video, an outline of the liturgy and a copy of The Valley Bulletin available for download beginning Sunday morning by clicking on the "Click to Pray" button below. This week the Valley clergy team are pleased to be joined by our two readers, Maggie Jacques from Holy Trinity, Pembroke and Dave Clark from St John's, Eganville. The Intercessions have been prepared by Lawrence Dickson from St Barnabas, Deep River. Canon Susan Clifford is the officiant and Bishop Michael Bird offers words of welcome and is the responder. Sandra Sharp and Dorothy Biggs greet us with the ringing of a bell from St John's, Tramore. For a closing hymn Kim Silkie plays "Great is Thy Faithfulness" on her guitar from St. George's, Alice. Zoom with Lily!Our next Parish "Zoom Coffee Hour" is Sunday August 16 Prepare to meet Lily Elizabeth Hoyer Brown at our next Zoom Coffee Hour on Sunday August 16 at 11am. She's less than a month old and already she knows how to Zoom! She must get that from her Mom! I'm told that she's growing quicker than the weeds in Matthew's garden! N.B. Alas! There is no Zoom Coffee Hour this coming Sunday August 2. |
"In this Together"Getting Started Your Parish Task Force have been busy working on the "In This Together" Diocesan Pandemic Plan. We are aiming to open our buildings for worship on Sunday Sept. 6 in accordance with the "Amber" stage of the reopening plan. Next week members of the Pandemic Task Force will begin contacting all wardens to discuss the details. If you haven't already done so, Click here to read the "In this Together" 18 page Covid-19 reopening plan as well as a general Parish checklist, as found on the Diocesan website. Our particular focus at this time is on the "Amber" stage. Your Task Force members are: Donna Smith, Epiphany, George Hodgkinson, Holy Trinity, Wendy Cayen, St John's, Sandra Sharp, Ascension/St John, Bishop Michael, and Canon Susan. Food DrivemyFM Broadcasts for the Local Food Banks Thursday August 20. Tune into 104.9 myFM all-day broadcast from 10am-6pm. There is a special focus on food donations with kids in mind. They will be highlighting specific needs for back-to-school lunches.
